DIY Wine Bags

I love the idea of adding a personal touch to any gift. Whether it is a handwritten note or beautiful wrapping, it can make an ordinary gift seem slightly more special. Here is one simple way I like to gift a bottle of wine.

Materials:

• Fabric you love, muslin (optional only if you want a lining), scissors, thread, sewing machine.

Steps:

• Cut 5 x 4”×14” of fabric.

• Sew outer pieces together using a 1/2” seam. Press seams open.

• Cut a 20”×14” piece of muslin for the interior lining.
• With the right sides of the lining and outer fabric together, sew along the outer edge using a 1/2” seam, leaving a small section open. Turn the fabric right side out.
• Fold the fabric in half, with the lining on the outside, and sew along the long edge using a 1/4” seam.
• Cut a circle slightly larger than the wine bottle.
