1 minute read

When I first posted about our move we were at peak stress, but since then a lot of things have come together. Our house is sold (thanks Christina!), we found a rental in Tennessee and movers are scheduled to pack up our house. The kid’s last day at Primrose is March 20th and we are leaving the next day.

Now that the big items are crossed off our list, we have been spending time saying goodbye to friends, visiting local favorites and decluttering our stuff. The last of which is no easy task. After a few days, I no longer asked myself if an item sparked joy, instead I asked why the f*ck did I buy so many g*dd*mn sheets of blue felt! Needless to say, I’ve been making near daily trips to goodwill.

Thank you

  • Thank you to our amazing neighbors/neighborhood. I’m confident we won’t ever find neighbors who are cool enough to own Elon Musk’s flamethrower or neighbors who bake chocolate chip cookies that are good enough to steal from your kids and hide from your husband.

  • Thank you to my friends at VCU. Thank you for the hours we spent talking about vaginas (vmc project) and ugly fonts. Thank you to those of you who were always up for a coffee run (no matter the time).

  • Thank you to my friends at PPD. Thank you for all the laughter. Thank you for all the laser hair removal tips. Thank you for sharing a love of murder podcasts. And thank you for growing up down the street from Lorena Bobbitt.

Thank you to our amazing Primrose family. Thank you for creating a warm and enriching environment where Max has thrived and made so many good friends. Thank you for always telling us in the best way possible that “Zoe wasn’t that grumpy today”. Thank you to all the amazing teachers for your love, dedication and hard work. We will miss you all.
